This picture was taken when I was exiting the garden. I was smelly, tired and sleepy. More than 12 hours of exploration in Taiping. But, the garden is beautiful. Glad I made the effort to visit Taiping Lake Garden.

There is a roof at the middle of the bridge. Funny design. A great place for wedding photo! :)

It was damn hot! I wanna climb up the tree, take off my all my clothes and jump into the pool of water. AHHHH...It must be COOL & REFRESHING.

Strange looking unfinished pillars at the middle of the lake garden. Not ugly but...........BIZARRE!

I was on my way to my car when I saw this traffic sign. A good reminder to drive carefully on my way to Ipoh Selatan.
By the time I leave the zoo at 5:30pm, I was tired, sleepy and groggy . On that day, I woke up 5.30am, drove all the way to Taiping, explored Matang Mangrove Forest Reserve, visited the charcoal factories, tour the zoo and now I’m gonna walk all the way to Taiping Lake Garden. 12 hours non stop!
Well, Taiping Lake Garden is roughly 500m from the zoo. There were lots of people at Taiping Lake Garden. Most of them were jogging along the lake or romancing quietly. There is a huge water lily pond. But, I was not interested at all because I’ve seen so many water lily ponds for the last eight months. So, I just walked, walked and walked for another one hour.
By 6.30pm, I decided to call it a day and drove my car back to the highway exit to Ipoh Selatan. I hate driving at night especially in a foreign place. I was trying to locate Hotel Shanghai in Ipoh. Fortunately, I still have my trusted Google Maps. The map is AMAZING!!! I found my way and booked two days stay in Ipoh. I took my bath and try to rest early but as you know it was SLEEPLESS NIGHTS IN IPOH for me.
