My Photo Blog First Anniversary - Looking Back

Posted by shloke 22 July 2009

One year in the blink of an eye.

Traveling and photography are the most rewarding and enriching experiences in my life. Seeing how life is lived helps me to become more tolerant. It really saddens me to see people who are still living below the national poverty line. They are poor but still happy. I always wonder "Why do 'rich' people look so unhappy, but 'poor' people so happy?"

"Life lessons you learn from traveling one's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things." by Henry Miller, American writer.

  2. Happy Birthday to your blog!!

    I've been so busy lately that I didn't even have time to read blogs.

    Hope I will be free soon to visit all your travel posts that I have missed.

  4. happy birthday , maybe you should considered converting this blog to a commercial website as the travel info that you provide in this blog is quite extensive.

    money can buy you material and style.but it can't buy you love and family.

  6. The rich probably stress themselves up worrying how to preserve and increase their wealth while the poor are probably contented with their station in life. Contentment is an important principle towards a happy life, isn't it?

  8. @Shelyn,

    Thank you!!!

    Remember to find some good quality time to rest and relax :)

    @xplorer,

    Welcome back to Malaysia and thank you for the greetings!!

    Aiyah...don't think my photo blog worth any commercial value. My lousy English will be a shocker to 'Mat Sallehs'

    Money is EVER SO IMPORTANT. I can do so many things with money. Have to agree with you....money will not buy a good family and TRUE LOVE.

    @Roger,

    "The rich probably stress themselves up worrying how to preserve and increase their wealth while the poor are probably contented with their station in life. Contentment is an important principle towards a happy life, isn't it?"

    That's SO TRUE!

    Cheers to all!

    Love the bee!

    I thought that you may be interested in a monthly fun posting that I started in July called "5 on the fifth" where you take 5 random photographs on the fifth of the month and post them somewhere on the net and then post a comment on MY blog with your name, location and link to the site containing your photos and I update my blog entry so the world has your link.

    Interested?

    Here's a link to my blog
