I've been scratching my head thinking of what type of layout or design to finish my Pudu Jail article. I wanted to do something special and different. Finally, I got my EUREKA moment when I stumbled upon some news articles shared in Pudu Jail Official Facebook. This is it! Pudu Jail: The End Game from The Pudu Times.

That's all folks! Get CREATIVE, have FUN, learn something NEW!

Pudu Jail, The End - Slideshow

Great news! A Malaysian Photo and Travel Blog is now accessible on the ever-popular social networking site, Facebook.com! If you are on Facebook, I would love it if you would become a fan of my official page.

  4. This is very creative! I hope I did not get it wrong- you created this layout as a newsletter layout right? or your article has actually been posted in the news?
I also like the effect of the slideshow as a B/W film. Very nice! Which program do you use for this kind of photo slideshow?

  14. fufu,

Thanks! The perimeter wall has been completely torn down. All gone. According to Dato' Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim (Malaysian Information, Communications, and Culture Minister), only the arched gate of the prison will be retained as a memorial. Perhaps we can put the gate in National Museum.

    Micki,

It's a Photoshop template. I've added some pictures, captions and lil' bit of factual and fictional writings to make it look real. After that, I saved in JPG and converted it to PDF. Next, I uploaded the article in Sribd (a social publishing site, where tens of millions of people share original writings and documents). http://www.scribd.com/

I got the idea from a Scribd research paper about Pudu Jail. Check this out:

The B&W slideshow was created entirely with Photobucket - a free image hosting, photo sharing and video sharing portal. Upload your photos and create slideshow straightaway. Many interesting templates to choose from.

    Jimmy Liew,

Thanks again for your kind words :)

    Rafael Lam,

There's so much we can learn from each other :) Thanks!

    Shelyn,

Give it a try! I've been using Photobucket for almost two years. So far so good. But there is a monthly bandwidth limitation of 10GB. You can create multiple accounts to grab more bandwidth :)

Again thank you for your warm words and encouragement! As the saying goes, "Be CREATIVE and have FUN"

Many thanks to all for dropping by!
