This picture was taken during my recent trip to Kuala Lumpur Hibiscus Park. It was my third trip to the park. The first trip was the BEST - I saw loads of flowers (including gigantic clam-shaped hibiscus).
As usual, I scout for flowers that were illuminated with natural light. This hibiscus flower is a beauty - burst of red with orange coloured petals. Looking at this flower tempted me to shout out "MERDEKA! MERDEKA! MERDEKA!"
Good composition!
They also have hibiscus in Kew Gardens!
And they're very big, almost as big as my open palm!!!
Beautifully captured! Your national flower also happens to be my favourite flower. Your blog provides me with the impetus to visit the places you've mentioned. Which part of KL you from Alex? (hope this is not too personal). Roger from Little Red Dot
@1londoncalling,
Thank you!
I really enjoy reading your wonderful posts about the botanic garden. I want to see for myself the majestic beauty of Kew Gardens!!!! The only time I can see loads of flowers is during the annual floral festival at Kuala Lumpur Lake Garden. But, I missed out this year celebration held at Putrajaya Lake Garden.
@Roger,
Than you again!!!
I'm staying in Kepong Baru, Kuala Lumpur.
