Photo Assignment of the Week: "Animal Planet"

Posted by shloke 13 September 2011
The picture above shows a newly born Silvered Leaf Monkey aka Silvery Lutung/Langur, sucking milk from its mother's breast. The young ones, usually seen clutching the underbelly of their mothers, are born with soft golden orange hair before they change their colour to the dull ashen grey hair of the adult monkey within the first few weeks.

Scientific name: Trachypithecus cristatus.
Location: Malawati Hill, Malaysia.

The long awaited Weekly Photo Assignment is BACK! Every two weeks I'll announce a new theme, then photographers interpret this theme and upload their own photos in response. The BEST 10 photos of the week will be featured on A Malaysian Photo and Travel Blog’s (MPTB) special iFrame tab aka The ✓ Weekly Theme.

So how does it work? Easy peasy butter cookies :) 5 simple steps:

1) Head over to MPTB Facebook page
2) Pick a photo that best represents our weekly theme
3) Minimum width or length = 720px
4) Write an attractive caption (e.g. The Eagle Eye)
5) Upload to MPTB’s Facebook wall

Please remember to visit other entries and make some comments
